Hotel Maintenance Technician

Our client within the hospitality industry are currently looking for a skilled Technician to join their engineering team. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensure the smooth operation of plant room equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, and water distribution systems;
• Conduct routine inspections and carry out preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure;
• Respond efficiently to maintenance requests;
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in equipment and systems;
• Maintain accurate records of completed tasks;
• Adhere to all health and safety standards, including fire protection protocols;
• Coordinate with external service providers when necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Technician role within a hotel or similar hospitality setting is preferred;
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and general maintenance procedures;
• Ability to work within a team or independently;
• Very good communication skills;
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekend and public holidays;
• Currently already residing in Malta.

Education and Experience

• A technical diploma or relevant certification is preferred
• Previous local experience in a similar role is mandatory
