Our client, operating in the Hospitality Sector, are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join the team as a Hotel Maintenance Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance and repair for the hotel, ensuring that the facilities are always in top condition for guests. As the Hotel Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the property.
Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan for the hotel, including regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks
Manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
Oversee all repairs and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including expenses and inventory
Perform regular safety inspections and ensure all equipment and facilities comply with regulations.
Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance work without disrupting guest experience
Monitor and manage the budget for maintenance and repair expenses
Source and negotiate with external vendors for necessary services and supplies
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and make recommendations for improvements to hotel facilities and equipment
Work as a duty manager on a monthly basis.
Working Hours: Monday - Sunday: 0800hrs - 1630hrs on a roster basis.
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
Possession of a Wireman License A & B would be considered an asset.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
Proficiency in using maintenance software and other relevant computer programs
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
Attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Must hold an excellent level of written and verbal English.
Candidate must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
