Our client, a group of companies providing a variety of services, is looking to recruit a General Maintenance Assistant to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of the department, the chosen candidate will be responsible to:
- Perform various maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing and electrical works, paneling, tiling, and painting when necessary;
- Assembling/dismantling and repositioning of office furniture;
- Conduct preventative maintenance as required;
- Report any safety concerns or potential damage;
- Coordinate and assist in special projects as directed;
- Monitor work performed by outside contractors and ensure quality standards;
- Run errands as necessary using a company vehicle.
Requirements
- Must be organised, practical, and trustworthy
- Must be capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision
- Must have a strong commitment to quality and workplace safety
Education and Experience
- Proficiency in English and Maltese language will be considered an asset
- Previous experience in a similar role and familiarity with the use of power tools is a must
