Our client who is a reputable aviation services company in Malta is currently seeking a Fuel Operator to join their operations team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of aviation fuel to aircraft while ensuring full compliance with safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities :
Operate fuelling vehicles to deliver aviation fuel to aircraft safely and efficiently.
Carry out pre-use and post-use inspections of fuelling vehicles and equipment, reporting any defects or abnormalities.
Perform fuel quality checks including density, temperature, and visual inspections in line with operational manuals and industry standards.
Ensure timely and safe aircraft fuelling and de-fuelling operations.
Follow proper bonding procedures to prevent electrostatic discharge during fuelling operations.
Communicate effectively with cockpit crew and airline representatives during fuelling procedures.
Complete fuelling documentation accurately and in accordance with airline and regulatory requirements.
Participate in HSSE briefings, toolbox talks, and safety drills.
Report incidents, spills, near misses, and unsafe conditions through the appropriate reporting systems.
Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of fuelling equipment and work areas.
Ensure compliance with PPE requirements, airside driving regulations, and apron safety procedures.
Support emergency response actions in line with company and airport contingency plans.
Adhere to all applicable standard operating procedures and safety policies.
Take part in internal audits, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance checks.
Promote a strong safety culture by identifying risks and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Valid CE Driving Licence.
ADR certification (for transport of dangerous goods) would be an asset.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Education and Experience
Previous experience in fuel operations, aviation services, or tanker driving will be considered an asset.
Willingness to work shift schedules, including nights, weekends, and public holidays if required.
