Our client is seeking a Field Service Technician to be the front-line expert servicing their clients.
This role balances hands-on field service with in-house technical support and administrative duties, making it a dynamic opportunity for a well-rounded professional.
The Main Responsibilities include:
Conduct onsite installations, fault finding, and repairs on industrial machinery at client premises according to Gantt charts and work plans (typically 1–2 site visits per day, approx. 3 hours total).
Manage the technical support mailbox, cross-reference parts, understand application requirements (PLCs, sensors, motor controls, hydraulics, pneumatics), and document processes via service reports.
Service industrial compressors and design/install complete compressed air systems utilizing aluminum tubing.
Professionally handle inbound telephone calls, prepare and send formal sales quotes, and utilize solution selling to recommend product upgrades or alternatives based on customer needs.
Monday to Friday
8:00 AM – 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Requirements
Full professional proficiency in written and verbal English is mandatory. Fluency in Maltese is considered a strong asset due their local client base.
Demonstrated understanding of components like drives, sensors, relays, connectors, HMI, safety components, pneumatics, and compressors.
Must be physically fit for hands-on onsite work, maintain a highly professional presentation/personal hygiene for client-facing environments, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience
Essential experience in industrial maintenance and servicing compressors.
A relevant technical degree or certification (e.g., Industrial Technology, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing, or equivalent).
Possession of Electrical License A is highly preferred.
