F-GAS Technician

As an F-Gas / HVAC Technician you will hold complete responsibility for ensuring the reliability of the company's cutting-edge heating, ventilation, air-conditioning systems, as well as our plant and equipment. Your role will involve enhancing existing maintenance programs, showcasing advanced diagnostic skills to minimise unplanned downtime, and efficiently conducting repairs on electrical, electronics, PLC, and mechanical systems, including software backups and restores.

Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and maintenance across our facility in a safe and efficient manner.
• Actively participate in and contribute to the company's kaizen events.
• Identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance equipment safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Handle installation and commissioning tasks for plant and related equipment.
• Overhaul and repair systems or components as necessary.
• Identify critical parts and communicate effectively with the Engineering storekeeper.
• Engage with suppliers on a technical level when required.
• Be flexible to work shift arrangements and overtime as needed.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and update information in the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Provide training to other engineering staff as required.
• Adhere to the Company’s safety policies and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Fulfill any additional duties necessary to support the company’s needs.

Requirements

• Be conversant with chilled water air cooled systems, reverse osmosis and related equipment
• Be flexible and respond to production needs.
• Possess strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Be highly organized with the ability to work effectively across multiple projects.
• Understand the principles and comply with practice of Company's Business Systems, Lean Manufacturing, 5S Methodology and Continuous Improvement.
• Be comfortable working a Day, Day, Rest, Off shift.

Education and Experience

• F-Gas and HVAC Category 1 certification.
• Possess License A&B qualification.
• Qualified Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical /Mechatronics Technician preferably with an MCAST-BTec Higher National Diploma / HTD focused on plant and equipment.
• Have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
