We are looking for an energetic and confident person to work as a BMS Technician. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in the installation, support, and upkeep of smart building management systems.
These are systems that control heating, air conditioning, lighting, and security in buildings.
What the job is about:
- You'll be working on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting these systems.
- Your work will involve electronics and software, so you'll need to handle both hardware (physical parts) and software (programs that run the system).
- You'll need to work with customers and project teams to understand what they need, and keep them updated on progress.
Your daily tasks:
- You'll be involved from the start to the finish of BMS projects, ensuring everything is done on time and within the budget.
- You'll be responsible for installing and setting up BMS equipment, following instructions like wiring diagrams and customer specifications.
- You will test the system on-site or remotely to make sure it works properly.
- You’ll also do routine maintenance to keep the systems running well, and if there’s a problem, you’ll find and fix the issue.
- You’ll also set up the system’s network connections to ensure it communicates with other devices and systems, using standard protocols like BACnet/IP or Modbus TCP/IP.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30. For certain projects you may be on call.
Requirements
- Knowledge of common BMS platforms (like Honeywell, Johnson, Distech or Siemens)
- The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in the design, programming, and troubleshooting of building management systems, not solely in their operation.
