Our client is a supplier & distributor of consumables and is looking for a Trade Marketing Representative to join their growing team. Reporting to the manager you will be responsible for:
1. Channel Execution
Ensure products (OTC & VM) are well stocked, displayed, and visible in retail outlets.
Carry out field sales tasks such as stock delivery, vending machine refills, and payment collection when needed.
Maintain vending machine planograms, pricing, and internal setup according to Company guidelines to maximize brand presence.
Replace vending panels when required.
Implement merchandising standards—shelf placement, POS materials, and promotional displays.
Negotiate with outlet owners for improved product visibility and placement.
2. Promotion Implementation
Execute trade promotions (discounts, bundles, special offers) per the marketing plan.
Monitor promotion compliance and performance.
Track and report competitor promotions and activities.
3. Relationship Building
Serve as the main liaison between the Company and trade partners (wholesalers, retailers, consumers).
Build strong, professional relationships with outlet owners and managers.
Collect market insights and share feedback with Management.
4. Sales Support
Drive secondary sales from distributors to retail outlets.
Motivate and support the trade to boost sales.
Provide training and product knowledge to retail staff and consumers when necessary.
5. Market Intelligence
Monitor competitor products, prices, and in-store activities.
Gather feedback on consumer preferences and retail challenges.
Report market data and insights to Management for better decisions.
6. Brand Visibility & Awareness
Ensure high brand visibility across all categories through effective use of POS materials, displays, and pricing.
Strengthen brand presence and differentiation in crowded retail environments.
Requirements
One must have good sales & negotiation skills.
Merchandising knowledge.
Very good communication and relationship building skills.
Adaptability & problem-solving skills.
Valid driving license.
Basic digital & computing skills.
Education and Experience
Previous experience in a sales role, client facing role and/or relationship building role.
