Our client, a leading company within the FMCG industry are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join their team as a Shop Assistant. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing excellent service to their customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the shop. Reporting to the Shop Manager your responsibilities will include:
Assist customers in selecting products and provide knowledgeable recommendations.
Maintain a clean and organised shop environment.
Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
Responsible for shop opening and closing, as well as cash handling.
Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events and tastings.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
Working Hours: Monday - Sunday on a roster basis
An attractive salary + commission
Requirements
Previous local experience in retail or customer service is a must.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of beverages, including wines, beers, and spirits, is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
Hold an excellent level of written and verbal English.
Education and Experience
Holds at least an 'O' Level education + additional education in retail or hospitality is a plus.
