Sales Team Leader

  Central Malta  |  €35,000 - €40,000 Annually 

Our client is looking for a Sales Team Leader who will be responsible for overseeing a designated commercial team. Their primary objective is to achieve performance targets while maintaining high standards of customer service and professional advice. They are expected to use available resources efficiently and responsibly to maximise overall value.

The Sales Team Leader plays a key role in promoting training, collaboration, and team cohesion to drive collective success. They ensure their team operates in line with the company's ethical, professional, and profitability standards, complies with regulatory requirements, and meets customer expectations. They are also responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and resolving any issues related to team activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire the sales team to reach and exceed goals.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining team accountability.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of sales strategies, negotiation tactics, and closing techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effectively manage conflict and conduct challenging conversations when necessary.
  • Foster strong working relationships with both clients and internal team members.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Maintain a results-driven approach with a strong focus on sales targets and KPIs.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Strong command of English and Maltese, both written and verbal.
  • A minimum 1-2 years experience in sales in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and empower others.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Experience in the insurance, financial services, or commercial sector will be considered an asset.
