Technical Sales Specialist (Automation)

  Central Malta  |  starting from €30,000 Annually 

Our client, a local automation services entity, is looking to recruit a Technical Sales Specialist to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the General Manager and will be responsible for the below:

  • Engage with potential clients to understand their specific requirements and objectives, whilst collaborating with technical teams to ensure accurate assessment of project scope and feasibility;
  • Convert qualified leads into customers through effective negotiation and presentation of quotations;
  • Foster strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication, proactive support, and value-added services, whilst anticipating client needs and identifying opportunities;
  • Solicit feedback from clients on their experience with products and services, addressing concerns promptly and seeking opportunities for improvements, whilst using client feedback to inform product development and service enhancements;
  • Monitor progress against targets, adjusting tactics as needed to optimize results, whilst conducting post-mortem analyses on sales campaigns and initiatives to extract learnings for future planning;
  • Implement strategies for market entry, and translate insights into actionable strategies to drive sales growth and market share;
  • Conduct market research, identifying potential clients and market segments, gathering insights on local regulations, customer preferences, and industry dynamics; as well as identifying potential partners and key stakeholders overseas;
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams, incorporating inputs from marketing, product development, and operations.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication both verbal and written in English and Maltese
  • Ability to communicate in other European language is considered an asset
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team
  • Strong problem solving and proactive skills are a must

Education and Experience

  • Strong understanding of industrial and building automation technologies and solutions is a must
