Operations & Business Development Manager

  South of Malta  |  €40,000 - €45,000 Annually 

Our client is a vocational education academy that provides training and development opportunities for individuals and organisations. They are now seeking to engage an Academy Operations & Business Development Manager to report into the Head of School. This is a new role.

The Role

  • You will drive student recruitment and developing new business opportunities to support the academy’s growth.
  • You will manage corporate relationships and build partnerships with businesses and industry stakeholders.
  • Responsibilities include promoting academy programmes, generating leads, and converting enquiries into enrolments.
  • You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth delivery of all courses and programmes.
  • You will coordinate schedules, tutors, classrooms, and logistics required for course delivery.
  • The role also includes contributing to the academy’s strategic growth by identifying new training opportunities and market needs.
  • You will engage with industry partners to align programmes with workforce demands and employability outcomes.
  • You will support quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with MFHEA requirements and accreditation standards.
  • You will do regular reporting to the Head of Academy and Board on performance, opportunities, and operational matters.

This is a hybrid role Operations and Business Development - Apart from the gross salary there will also be a good commission structure

Requirements

  • You must be motivated, proactive, and highly organised
  • Have experience in sales, business development, operations management, or education/training environments
  • Have strong business development and relationship-building skills
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be fluent in English (Maltese will be considered an asset)
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently
  • A strong interest in business, entrepreneurship, and growth-oriented environments
  • Have strong operational experience with great attention to detail
  • Experience in vocational education, training services, or MFHEA-regulated environments will be considered an asset
