Head of Security, Luxury Retail

  Central Malta  |  €30,000 - €35,000 Annually 

We are seeking a Head of Security to oversee all security, loss prevention, and safety across our luxury retail shops. This is a critical leadership role that requires local experience and a hands-on approach to protecting our high-value assets, employees, and brand reputation. You must ensure maximum security compliance and provide immediate, effective response to all incidents.

Responsibilities:

  • Security Systems Expert: Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all technical security equipment, including alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
  • Incident Responder: Be the first person to respond to all security incidents and emergencies. Coordinate necessary support and write clear, detailed reports.
  •  Availability: Manage site security outside of regular hours and respond to emergency alarms and security events. You must be on-call and available for various shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure full compliance with all operational risk controls and company security policies.
  • Safety Checks: Conduct regular walk-throughs to identify and fix safety and security risks before they become issues.
  • Employee Awareness: Promote safety and security awareness by training and informing all employees on best practices.

Requirements

  • Technical Background (Ideal): Ideally, you have a strong background in technical maintenance related to security systems, alarms, and surveillance equipment.
  • Experience is Required: Previous local experience in a similar role within the luxury retail or high-value asset industry is mandatory.
  • Quick Decision Maker: Strong ability to make fast, effective decisions and handle security situations independently in a demanding environment.
  • Organized and Planned: Excellent organizational and planning skills to manage complex systems and multiple sites efficiently.
  • Reliable personal transportation is required, along with a valid driver's license.
  • The company provides fuel and communication allowances.
  • This is a Monday through Friday role; however, flexibility and on-call availability are mandatory, and an on-call allowance will be provided.
