Business Development Manager

A growing business operating in the Food Manufacturing industry, providing expertise in raw material sourcing, additive functionality and quality support is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of revenue and growth targets within the meat and dairy segment, developing and executing strategies to expand market share and drive sustainable business growth.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, identify new business opportunities, and cultivate long-term relationships with key accounts, distributors and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate closely with technical teams to coordinate product trials, customer demonstrations and solution implementation to support sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market mapping and analysis to identify emerging trends, growth opportunities and potential risks, ensuring informed business decisions.
  • Monitor competitor activity, assess industry benchmarks and provide actionable insights to support pricing strategy, product positioning, and promotional initiatives.
  • Develop accurate sales forecasts and performance reports, presenting insights to senior management to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives including marketing campaigns, product launches, and R&D feedback to align business development efforts with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Business, Food Science, Chemistry, Marketing, or related.
  • 5+ years B2B sales in ingredient, flavours, food additives into meat processors and/or dairy producers.
  • Proven track record in key account growth, distributor management, pipeline development, sales forecasting, and launching new solutions through successful technical trials.
  • Willing to travel
