A growing business operating in the Food Manufacturing industry, providing expertise in raw material sourcing, additive functionality and quality support is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Take full ownership of revenue and growth targets within the meat and dairy segment, developing and executing strategies to expand market share and drive sustainable business growth.
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, identify new business opportunities, and cultivate long-term relationships with key accounts, distributors and strategic partners.
Collaborate closely with technical teams to coordinate product trials, customer demonstrations and solution implementation to support sales and customer satisfaction.
Conduct market mapping and analysis to identify emerging trends, growth opportunities and potential risks, ensuring informed business decisions.
Monitor competitor activity, assess industry benchmarks and provide actionable insights to support pricing strategy, product positioning, and promotional initiatives.
Develop accurate sales forecasts and performance reports, presenting insights to senior management to guide strategic planning and resource allocation.
Support cross-functional initiatives including marketing campaigns, product launches, and R&D feedback to align business development efforts with company objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Business, Food Science, Chemistry, Marketing, or related.
5+ years B2B sales in ingredient, flavours, food additives into meat processors and/or dairy producers.
Proven track record in key account growth, distributor management, pipeline development, sales forecasting, and launching new solutions through successful technical trials.
