Our client in the ICT and AI field is looking for a Business Development Executive to grow the company's SaaS portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
Source, qualify, and close new business opportunities in SaaS, AI, e-commerce, and automation.
Design and execute go-to-market plans tailored to different industries.
Build and manage a sales pipeline, using CRM tools to track performance.
Develop partnerships with technology vendors, resellers, and enterprise clients.
Ensure client needs and market demands are integrated into product planning.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
Manage the end-to-end SaaS sales cycle, from outreach to contract negotiation and closing.
Deliver market intelligence on industry trends, competitors, and pricing strategies.
Requirements
Solid understanding of SaaS subscription models and sales cycles (SMB through Enterprise)
Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
Good negotiation and communication skills
Proactive mindset
Excellent English is a must, Maltese is an asset
Experience with funding programs, grants, or public-sector projects (e.g. EU Horizon, R&I) is considered an asset
Background in international SaaS market expansion is a plus
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
Previous experience in business development is a must
Previous experience in partnerships, SaaS sales and cloud and enterprise software
