An established client of ours operating within the Retail industry, is searching for an Assistant Shop Manager to join the franchise at one of their biggest stores. As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will be responsible for:
Oversee stock control, merchandising, and shop presentation.
Coordinate with suppliers and franchise management for inventory, product updates, and promotional activities.
Support the team with operational challenges when needed.
Lead, motivate, and support the in-store team.
Deliver training on customer service, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
Ensure the shop delivers exceptional customer service.
Handle escalated customer queries or issues professionally.
Support customer engagement and loyalty-building initiatives.
Analyse sales and stock levels to inform ordering and promotional decisions.
Uphold company policies, health and safety standards, and loss prevention protocols.
Handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
Requirements
Candidates must be based in Malta, with the legal right of working in Malta
Candidates must be able to work on roster basis from Monday to Saturday, including Sundays and Public Holidays on over-time during peak season
Excellent command in English
Candidates must be responsible, mature, independent and eager to advance
Education and Experience
A Level Standard of Education
Prior experience within the retail industry is a must
