Assistant Sales Manager

  South of Malta

We are looking for an Assistant Sales Manager to join a well-established company in Malta. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Business Development, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the development and increase of the client database and their performance as per yearly budgets.
  • Visiting on a regular basis current and prospective clients to understand their requirements and assist in the development of present and possible new products.
  • Researching for new business opportunities to provide appropriate growth to business.
  • Managing customer communication for clear and solid agreements.
  • Providing clients with timely quotations.
  • Devising Sales Plans for the respective client base. Preparing monthly reports based on statistics, analyzing these reports showing the state of business development ensuring budgets are respected and targets are achieved.
  • Designing plans to achieve the set objectives and develop plans for new business fostering, including new industry sectors by analyzing competitor trends.
  • Gaining a good understanding of the business’s products and services to market them with potential new clients.
  • Liaising with other Internal Departments on order production status for all clients to ensure proper delivery and timely client service. Ensuring on time payments in liaison with the Finance dept.
  • Creating samples and ensuring delivery to customer.
  • Receiving client complaints and assigning them to appropriate department for action. Follow up to ensure that complaints are addressed and corrected and that any required action is discussed and agreed with client.

Requirements:

  • Strong sales experience including lead-generation and closing skills;
  • Commitment in providing excellent customer service and managing existing accounts professionally;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese;
  • Customer-oriented with good interpersonal skills;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Target and detail orientation with a strong drive to achieve work success;
