Our client within the FMCG industry is looking for a Group QA Manager. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive Quality Management framework across the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Group Quality Management System—including policies, procedures, work instructions, checklists, and protocols—covering all relevant business operations.
  • Identify and address documentation gaps by drafting and implementing new policies and procedures, ensuring timely rollout and staff training.
  • Align and standardize quality controls across all Group companies to ensure a consistent approach and full regulatory compliance.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct both scheduled and surprise internal audits and inspections across all sites.
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure adherence to policies, SOPs, hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Review, verify, and approve quality records, including logs, batch documentation, deviation reports, and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) plans.
  • Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and manage customer complaints, ensuring effective corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
  • Track and manage the timely closure of all action plans and deviations, escalating critical or recurring issues as appropriate.
  • Collect, analyse, and report on quality KPIs, trends, risks, and compliance metrics to senior management.
  • Lead or coordinate external audits (third-party, certification bodies, and regulatory inspections) for all Group entities; prepare sites for audits and manage follow-up actions.
  • Ensure all sites maintain required certifications (e.g. HACCP, GMP, food safety, import/export regulations) and remain compliant with all legal obligations.
  • Evaluate process changes, new product introductions, or regulatory updates; revise or create documentation, perform risk assessments, and validate processes as necessary.
  • Lead and/or contribute to cross-functional improvement projects from a quality perspective.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs to ensure all team members are knowledgeable about the company’s quality systems and requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar quality management role.
  • Degree in Environmental Health (a Master’s Degree will be considered an asset).
  • Strong sense of commitment, integrity, and work ethic.
  • Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented.
