Assistant Quality Control Manager

Our client within the healthcare industry is currently seeking an Assistant Quality Control Manager to support the QC Manager in overseeing and executing quality-related functions. The role involves ensuring compliance with protocols, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and internal company procedures. The selected candidate will also perform various QC responsibilities based on the needs of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all QC activities are executed and documented in full compliance with protocols, company procedures, and cGMP.
  • Approve or reject starting and packaging materials according to established procedures.
  • Approve Certificates of Analysis for both materials and finished products.
  • Review specifications, test/analytical methods, stability records, and other QC documentation.
  • Maintain and enter QC Master Data in the MRP system.
  • Review sampling instructions and liaise with the Production department regarding product sample requirements.
  • Review change controls and deviations related to the QC department.
  • Support the QC Manager with the administration of laboratory procurement systems.
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new QC personnel.

Requirements:

  • Holds a higher qualification in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Already situated in Malta. 
  • Possesses a minimum of three years’ experience in a pharmaceutical QC environment.
  • Highly organised with strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and motivational abilities.
  • Critical thinker and effective problem solver.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
