On behalf of our client, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join their team. This role offers hands-on experience in AML and regulatory compliance, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the firm’s compliance and AML framework, including policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Ensure day-to-day compliance with Cyprus AML Law, EU Directives, and internal policies
• Perform KYC/CDD/EDD, client onboarding, and ongoing monitoring reviews
• Conduct transaction monitoring, review client activity, and identify unusual or suspicious transactions
• Escalate high-risk or suspicious activities and assist with internal investigations
• Conduct risk assessments, economic profiling, and client risk classification
• Perform PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening and document findings
• Maintain and update client records on AML systems (e.g. WiseBOS or similar)
• Support the review and updating of AML policies and procedures
• Assist in the preparation of compliance and AML reports for management
• Participate in AML and compliance training for staff
• Communicate with internal teams and clients to obtain compliance-related information
• Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and sanctions lists
• Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the management from time to time.
Requirements:
•
• Knowledge of Cyprus AML/CFT laws, EU Directives, and sanctions
• Experience with KYC/CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, and client onboarding
• Familiarity with AML/compliance systems (e.g. WiseBOS)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and risk assessment skills
• Excellent communication skills in English & Greek
