We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to oversee the delivery of key MEP projects while acting as the internal authority on all contractual matters. You will serve as the first line of interpretation on project obligations, variations, claims, and entitlements, guiding Project Managers to execute contracts profitably and within scope.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring experience in both project delivery and construction contracts, with the gravitas to coach, negotiate, and drive accountability across teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Project Delivery Oversight
- Manage the execution of critical MEP projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and cost performance, from project initiation to close-out
- Mentor and supervise 1–2 Project Managers and their site teams
- Review progress, site coordination, subcontractor performance, and client relations
Contractual Leadership
- Interpret and communicate contract obligations (FIDIC or bespoke)
- Identify opportunities for claims, variations, and commercial entitlements
- Support PMs in issuing notices, change orders, EOTs, and defending scope creep
- Participate in contract review at bid stage and project kickoff
Strategic Support
- Advise management on contractual risks and exposure
- Identify patterns of contractual mismanagement and propose process improvements
- Assist in dispute resolution, negotiations, and final account settlements
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, or local forms)
- 7-10 years experience in MEP or General Contracting project management
- Proven track record of claim preparation, scope negotiation, and contract closeout
- Strong organizational, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in both technical construction language and contractual/legal terms
- Able to balance site realities with commercial interests
- Must be in possession of a valid driving's license
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus
