Our client, a leading local aviation company, is looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their growing team. Reporting to the head of the department, the chosen candidate will be responsible to:
Create project plans, ensuring they comply with project documents, budgets, and regulations. This includes preparing Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and tenders with drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities, and a project plan;
Oversee the execution of projects and manage project documentation, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards;
Maintain communication and coordination with various stakeholders involved in the projects;
Continuously monitor project progress and make updates to the Project Plan as necessary;
Provide engineering expertise for small projects and assist in procurement and contract reviews;
Facilitate quantity surveying functions carried out by the company, contractors, or consultants;
Report any instances of infringements on-site, especially when related to company policies and health and safety regulations;
Energy Efficiency: Identify and recommend energy efficiency opportunities for the airport.
Requirements
Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Be capable of working independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
Able to work flexible hours as required.
Education and Experience
Possess at least an MQF Level 6 Qualification or equivalent in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Engineering.
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, with a preference for those with project management experience in engineering services or construction.
Proficient in using software tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
Have knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) best practices.
