We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Factory Floor Supervisor to oversee daily factory operations, with a primary focus on the fabrication of HVAC and ventilation components. This role is critical in ensuring full alignment between project specifications, site measurements, manufacturing processes, and installation activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manufacturing & Production Oversight
Oversee and actively participate in the fabrication of ductwork and cladding using various materials
Operate and supervise factory machinery, including guillotines, presses, bending machines, and welding equipment
Support loading and unloading operations, including forklift operation where required
Carry out and supervise spray painting of ventilation components, ensuring high-quality finishes
Ensure all production activities meet required quality, safety, and fabrication standards
Site Coordination & Quality Assurance
Conduct site visits to inspect HVAC and ductwork installations
Take accurate measurements and assess project requirements for manufacturing alignment
Interpret technical drawings and specifications, translating them into fabrication plans
Coordinate closely with site teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of components
Revisit sites as needed to verify installation quality and compliance with standards
Operations & Leadership
Support and oversee day-to-day factory operations
Step in to manage operations in the absence of the Project Coordinator
Assist with the fabrication of supports, brackets, and bespoke components as required
Ensure smooth coordination across multiple workstreams and projects
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in HVAC ductwork fabrication and installation
Strong knowledge of galvanised sheet metal and polyurethane/phenolic systems
Experience in cladding fabrication and installation
Hands-on experience with fabrication machinery and workshop tools
Basic welding and spray painting skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Strong organisational and coordination skills across factory and site operations
Forklift operating experience is considered an asset
Proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability
Ability to work effectively in both factory and site environments
