Project Planner

  South of Malta  |  €40,000 - €50,000 Annually 

Our client, a leading local company, is looking to recruit a Project Planner to act as Support Services to the PM Team and assist Management as may be required in the below-listed activities. 

Reporting to the Head of Projects, the chosen candidate will be responsible to:

  • Continuously update the Projects Master program as directed by management to reflect changes in project plans and timelines;
  • Review contractor programs and establish a common tracking mechanism for all project managers to ensure alignment and consistency in tracking project progress;
  • Establish an effective baseline change control mechanism to manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring proper documentation and approval processes are followed;
  • Implement standardized systems to manage company documents, ensuring easy access, version control, and security;
  • Champion and configure ACC for medium-sized and major projects, ensuring it aligns with project requirements and facilitates efficient collaboration;
  • Devise a training program for new employees and external users of the ACC system to ensure effective utilization and adoption;
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day requirements of the ACC system, including user support, troubleshooting, and system optimization;
  • Create custom reports within the ACC system to inform management of ongoing projects, providing insights into key metrics and performance indicators;
  • Design and implement a new system for managing hard-format project documentation, ensuring organization, accessibility, and compliance with record-keeping requirements;
  • Develop standard specification documentation for projects without external consultants, ensuring consistency and adherence to industry standards;
  • Review project drawings and confirm design intent to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications;
  • Develop and roll out a standard list of deliverables for consultants, clarifying expectations and ensuring consistency across projects;
  • Assist management in conducting design meetings and preparing RFQs, providing technical expertise and support as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role;
  • Very good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills;
  • Ability to work unsupervised and work in multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Able to work flexible hours, with a valid driving license.

Education and Experience

  • Experience in Civil Engineering Services and/or Construction is a must
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental best practice;
  • Proficiency and experience in the use of Autocad, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
