Project Manager (Owner’s Representative) – Hotel Development

  Central Malta  |  €60,000 - €80,000 Annually 

Our Client, an international company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to represent the owner’s interests throughout all phases of hotel development from planning and design to construction, FF&E procurement, and pre-opening. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and operational standards. The Project Manager will act as the main point of communication between owners, consultants, contractors, operators, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, budget, and development strategy; support feasibility studies and planning approvals.
  • Manage design consultants and ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and owner requirements.
  • Develop and maintain budgets, monitor costs, and manage contracts and change orders.
  • Oversee project schedules, procurement of FF&E and specialty items, and logistics.
  • Monitor construction progress, quality, and safety; lead project meetings and approve contractor payments.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, operators, and brand teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide regular progress reports.
  • Supervise pre-opening activities, FF&E installation, snagging, handover, and final documentation.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday

Requirements

  • The chosen profile must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
  • At least 5 years’ project management experience, ideally in hotel or hospitality development.
  • Good knowledge of the local building regulations, brand standards, and development processes.
  • Excellent English and attention to detail
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors, and FF&E procurement.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficient in project management tools and MS Office suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
