Infrastructure Manager

  South of Malta

We are looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join a Shipyard located in Malta. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in infrastructure management, with proven leadership capabilities and a solid background in shipbuilding or a similar high-demand industry. The Infrastructure Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and functionality of the shipyard’s infrastructure while leading a diverse team of professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the shipyard's infrastructure systems, including logistical, electrical, hydraulic, and communication systems.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and workers. Ensure team collaboration and alignment with the project’s objectives, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Plan and manage daily activities, track project progress, and take action to address any delays or issues that arise.
  • Ensure that all operations adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards, fostering a safety-first culture among staff.
  • Handle the budget and resource planning for the shipyard infrastructure, including procurement and allocation of materials and equipment.
  • Work closely with the design, engineering, and production teams to ensure infrastructure needs align with operational phases of the shipbuilding process.
  • Provide regular reports on infrastructure progress, operational efficiency, and highlight any critical issues to project leaders and management
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve infrastructure processes, minimize downtime, and reduce operational costs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years in similar roles, with proven experience in managing infrastructure in shipyards or related industries (construction, civil engineering).
  • Strong experience in leading complex teams, with the ability to inspire and guide employees to meet challenging goals.
  • Advanced knowledge of infrastructure systems (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical) and shipyard operations.
