We are looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join a Shipyard located in Malta. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in infrastructure management, with proven leadership capabilities and a solid background in shipbuilding or a similar high-demand industry. The Infrastructure Manager will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and functionality of the shipyard’s infrastructure while leading a diverse team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the shipyard's infrastructure systems, including logistical, electrical, hydraulic, and communication systems.
Lead, motivate, and manage a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and workers. Ensure team collaboration and alignment with the project’s objectives, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
Plan and manage daily activities, track project progress, and take action to address any delays or issues that arise.
Ensure that all operations adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards, fostering a safety-first culture among staff.
Handle the budget and resource planning for the shipyard infrastructure, including procurement and allocation of materials and equipment.
Work closely with the design, engineering, and production teams to ensure infrastructure needs align with operational phases of the shipbuilding process.
Provide regular reports on infrastructure progress, operational efficiency, and highlight any critical issues to project leaders and management
Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve infrastructure processes, minimize downtime, and reduce operational costs.
Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years in similar roles, with proven experience in managing infrastructure in shipyards or related industries (construction, civil engineering).
Strong experience in leading complex teams, with the ability to inspire and guide employees to meet challenging goals.
Advanced knowledge of infrastructure systems (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical) and shipyard operations.
