Job Description
The Project Officer / Information Analysis – interim support will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Conduct research, information collection and analysis of aspects relevant to the Common European Asylum System (CEAS), including EU+ countries’ where EUAA provides operational support, such as policies, practices, legislation, and case law in based on a variety of sources and directly from stakeholders and in the field to assess needs, capture practices and feed into the further development of information platforms and databases managed by IAS.
- Facilitate exchange among stakeholders maintaining relevant information systems (databases, portals) and resources relevant to CEAS to maintain a full situational picture of relevant developments and to propose common activities to enhance synergies and outreach.
- Collect and organize information on the CEAS, feeding information into relevant databases, and preparing overviews and analyses based on that information, including for needs assessment, evaluation, and operational activities, as well as for submission to external and internal stakeholders
- Maintain regular exchange of information and provide updates to EUAA teams on the ground on relevant developments via regular calls, meetings and exchanges
- Support the implementation of new activities foreseen in the EUAA Regulation related to information management, including through coordination of projects
- Provide support for the organisation of events and delivering presentations during meetings, conferences and workshops.

Minimum qualifications
- A completed university studies of at least three years attested by a diploma.
Minimum Experience
- At least two years of pertinent professional experience with relevant tasks
- Experience in drafting written outputs (analyses, reports) on matters related to asylum and migration;
- Knowledge of asylum, migration and fundamental rights;
- Thorough Knowledge of English (level C1 in all dimensions as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or CEFRL);
- Computer literacy, including MS Office Suite, use of internet and web-based applications.

Non-resident rate: Non-Maltese employees who are moving to Malta for the purposes of employment will be subject to "Non-resident" tax rates for the first 183 days from arrival – these are higher than the standard rates. Once 183 days of residence are reached, income tax will be recalculated for the entire period of employment in the current year from arrival in Malta, and the tax will be adjusted to recover any overpaid tax. If the 183-day period extends into the following year, and 183 days of residence in Malta are not accumulated, the overpaid tax will need to be claimed back from the authorities with personal income tax return.
