We’re looking for driven and hands-on Deputy Duty Managers to join the Operations Team on shift basis. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, high-volume, and continuously evolving environment. The ideal candidate is confident, proactive, and ready to take ownership of mission-critical yard and vessel operations.
About the Role
As Deputy Duty Manager, you will support the Duty Manager in overseeing daily terminal operations, with a strong focus on vessel performance and productivity. You will play a key role in ensuring efficient, safe, and uninterrupted movement across the terminal.
Key Objectives:
Minimise vessel port-stay by optimising real-time crane sequencing using the Terminal Operating System (TOS) and decision-support tools.
Drive operational planning and execution in close coordination with Planners and Equipment Control.
Ensure every Point of Work (POW) is continuously supported with the required Container Handling Equipment (CHE) to avoid operational delays.
What You’ll Bring
6+ years’ experience in terminal operations or similar high-intensity operational environments.
MQF Level 5 certification and IOSH qualification (preferred).
Experience with Terminal Operating Systems (e.g., Navis N4) is an advantage.
Strong decision-making, situational awareness, and the ability to thrive in a 24/7 shift-based role.
