Our client who specializes in the shipping industry is looking for a Crewing Coordinator. The coordinator will be the first point of contact for the ships' captains.
The Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Organizing crew changes and making the necessary travel arrangements
- Applying for the seafarers' documents with the flag authorities
- Issuing employment contracts for the seafarers
- Handling the payroll of the seafarers using the company's system
- Taking part in an on-call rota system for any after-hours emergencies (approximately 10 weeks/year).
- Being the first point of contact for the Captain of your ships for employment-related queries.
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday
8-10AM TO 4-6PM (8 hours/day)
Requirements
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proficient in the use of MS Word and MS Excel
- Operational and communication skills.
- Be organised and meticulous.
- Be proficient in the use of MS Word and MS Excel.
- Possess the ability to work independently and under pressure.
Education and Experience
- Crewing experience will be considered an asset
- Previous experience in operations, rostering or similar role
- A Bachelor's Degree is considered as an asset
