The Prepress Manager is responsible for overseeing SSQCDP performance and driving process improvements within the prepress departments, with particular focus on printing press support and platemaking operations.
Responsibilities
Lead continuous improvement initiatives while fostering collaboration, engagement, and teamwork.
Maintain ongoing readiness of platemaking operations in Malta to meet the standards required from Head Office
Ensure the smooth and compliant operation of laboratory and chemical processing activities across the division.
Provide training to team members involved in chemical-related processes within Prepress.
Develop and enhance Quality Control Plans (QCPs) within business-as-usual operations to improve efficiency and analytical capability.
Continuously review, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FMEAs, and control plans, including associated retraining programs where required.
Apply and promote Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and Kaizen methodologies.
Encourage cross-functional collaboration, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues beyond immediate areas of responsibility.
Undertake additional duties aligned with the role to meet business requirements.
Support the divisional leadership team in executing strategic objectives.
Provide subject matter expertise to inform decision-making and contribute to the annual strategic planning process.
Adhere to established governance frameworks and operational disciplines across the division.
Actively participate in the Performance Development Review (PDR) process and maintain accurate records of training and development activities.
Conduct all activities in accordance with company policies and guidelines, particularly those related to values, ethics, environmental health and safety, and the code of conduct.
