We are seeking an experienced and analytical Assistant Manager in Airline Revenue Accounting to lead a team of revenue accounting technicians and coordinators. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate revenue processing, delivering high-quality client support, and driving continuous improvement within our revenue accounting operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop the revenue accounting team, fostering performance, accountability, and collaboration.
- Oversee the implementation of new clients and operational processes.
- Support key clients with analytical insight, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Ensure full compliance with SLAs, industry standards, and budget parameters.
- Work with coordinators to set goals, refine workflows, and improve processes.
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted operational partner.
- Oversee and support critical deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Drive process enhancements, automation initiatives, and efficiency improvements.
- Lead and support system implementations while ensuring data integrity during migrations.
- Stay up to date with IATA and industry regulations and ensure proper implementation.
What You Bring
- Strong understanding of airline revenue accounting, including ticketing, ancillary revenue, refunds, and interline billing.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as the IATA Revenue Accounting Manual.
- Experience managing complex revenue recognition processes and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Ability to analyse large datasets, identify discrepancies, and drive improvements.
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proven ability to optimise processes and support system upgrades or new implementations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to guide, support, and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a data-driven approach.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reconciliation and reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hands-on experience in airline revenue accounting
- Strong financial data handling and reconciliation skills.
- Experience in a BPO environment is considered an asset.
- Proficient in Excel and reporting tools.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable with a strong sense of ownership.
- Ability to coach and support team members effectively.
