Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a proactive Marketing & Business Development Officer/Executive to support the firm’s marketing, communications, and business development activities. This is a standalone role reporting directly to the partners, offering close collaboration with senior stakeholders and broad exposure across the firm.
The Main Responsibilities include:
Branding & Communications
- Maintain and develop the firm’s brand and messaging across all channels
- Produce marketing collateral including brochures, pitch decks, firm profiles, and templates
- Draft and distribute newsletters, legal insights, press releases, and internal communications
Digital Marketing
- Manage the firm’s website, including content updates, SEO, user experience, and analytics
- Oversee social media channels and develop campaigns to increase engagement and visibility
- Coordinate digital advertising and content initiatives where relevant
Client & Business Development
- Support partners and fee earners with pitches, proposals, RFPs, and client presentations
- Manage CRM data to support client targeting and email campaigns
- Coordinate submissions for legal directories, awards, and rankings (e.g. Chambers, Legal 500)
International Networks & Events
- Manage the firm’s memberships in international legal networks, maximising engagement and value
- Plan and deliver firm-hosted seminars, webinars, and client events
- Support lawyers’ participation in external conferences and industry events, including post-event follow-up
Administration & Reporting
- Provide regular updates to the Managing Partner on marketing and BD activity
- Manage relationships with external suppliers, including designers, web developers, and PR agencies
Working Hours
Monday - Friday, 1 day remote per week and flexible daily hours (starting no later than 9:00 AM and working 9 hours duty with an hour's break.
In August, every Friday, all employees finish at 1PM
Requirements
- You must be very fluent in English & Maltese, with excellent, independent writing and editing skill
- Experience in a legal or professional services firm is considered as an asset
- You are proficient with digital tools, including CMS (like WordPress) , CRM systems , and social media platforms
Education and Experience
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Previous marketing experience
- Local (Maltese) work experience is essential.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to work independently
