Head of Industry Relations and Marketing

  South of Malta

Our client is looking to recruit a Head of Industry Relations and Marketing. Reporting to the CCO, the chosen candidate will: 

  • Plan, develop, and execute regular direct marketing campaigns to promote the Group’s businesses and achieve agreed targets.
  • Manage and further develop the Challenge Group brand, ensuring consistent communication of brand values both internally and externally.
  • Develop and implement Group Branding and Advertising Guidelines; oversee implementation and monitor compliance.
  • Evaluate, design, and implement public relations initiatives to enhance the Group’s brand, image, and industry reputation.
  • Draft and review press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations; approve press releases prior to management review.
  • Manage media inquiries and interview requests, ensuring consistent and professional representation.
  • Monitor, analyse, and report on PR results on a quarterly basis.
  • Plan, develop, and launch advertising campaigns to generate awareness and strengthen brand image.
  • Source and manage corporate gifts for events, festivities, and special occasions.
  • Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising to enhance visibility.
  • Plan and organise customer relationship management (CRM) events to foster networking opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
  • Coordinate corporate events and initiatives aligned with the Group’s communication strategy.
  • Develop and implement environmental and community awareness initiatives to position the Group as a socially responsible corporate leader.
  • Promote sustainability awareness across stakeholders and the wider community
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Provide recommendations to management regarding communication strategies in response to market developments.

Requirements

  • Proficient attention to detail.
  • Ability to use your initiative.

Education and Experience

  • 6+ years of professional marketing experience, communications, and sales.
  • Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
  • Knowledge of key issues that the aviation industry is facing including competition, and safety.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and leading multifaceted teams, ensuring they are clear on the expectation of their role / specific task.
  • Degree in marketing and communications would be an asset
