Events Executive (French/German/English Speaking)

  Central Malta  |  €25,000 - €34,000 Annually 

Our client is looking for a German/French/English Speaking Events Executive to join their growing team. 

This role plays a key role in driving revenue and supporting the delivery of a creative, high-quality, and profitable events programme. The role combines sales support, client engagement, event coordination, and operational assistance, requiring strong collaboration within the team as well as the ability to achieve individual performance targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue-generating activities in line with the company’s business plan.
  • Maximise sales productivity through effective selling techniques.
  • Respond to all client enquiries within 24 hours
  • Prepare accurate and timely quotations, liaise with internal teams, and close sales professionally.
  • Support the achievement of budgeted sales targets and profit margins.
  • Compile and submit sales reports to the General Manager accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain well-organised client files and filing systems.
  • Assist with general administrative and office duties as required.
  • Create, distribute, and track the performance of regular mailers to agents, following up on generated leads.
  • Attend travel fairs, exhibitions, and sales trips to promote the company when required.
  • Assist with preparation for travel fairs and business trips, including scheduling appointments, preparing marketing materials, and confirming travel arrangements.
  • Follow up promptly on leads generated from fairs and sales trips.
  • Provide clients with accurate, timely information and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Host and accompany clients or prospective clients on inspection and familiarisation visits.
  • Develop, cost, and help implement innovative and creative event ideas.
  • Ensure all sales and marketing activity aligns with and strengthens the brand.
  • Support the operations team to ensure consistently high standards of service delivery.
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements for confirmed events.
  • Ensure delegate enquiries and issues are handled efficiently and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with approved suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist with negotiating competitive rates with external suppliers.
  • Take responsibility for delegate welfare during events when required, including safety oversight, coach boarding, and managing sensitive situations.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives by:

1) Capturing photo and video content during events.

2) Actively engaging with and promoting company social media content.

3) Encouraging clients to leave Trustpilot reviews.

4) Sharing creative ideas for future marketing campaigns and content.

  • Promote and enhance the company’s professional image at all times, including at public events.
  • Stay informed about competitors, industry trends, and evolving sales techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, company policies, and corporate standards.
  • Demonstrate interest in all aspects of company operations, administration, staff welfare, and development.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as agreed with the General Manager.
  • Support any additional activities that contribute to the organisation’s success and reputation.
  • Adhere to company standards regarding appearance, dress code, hygiene, and professional conduct.
  • Maintain flexibility and availability to work outside normal business hours when required.

Requirements:

  • Professional working proficiency in German and/or French.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Valid local driving licence
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Creative approach with the ability to contribute innovative ideas.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work up to a maximum of 10 weekends per year in line with event requirements.
  • Experience within a Destination Management Company (DMC), events, or hospitality environment.
  • Marketing experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Minimum A-Level education or equivalent qualification.
