Tax Officer

  Central Malta  |  €20,000 - €30,000 Annually 

A great opportunity has arisen for a Tax Officer to join a well-established law firm in Malta. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to form part of a supportive team of professionals who are responsible for assisting high-net worth individuals with their tax obligations:

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing documentation, applying for residence, file submissions and card collections on behalf of their clients
  • Assisting clients with the process of tax registration and annual obligations such as tax return preparation and compliance documentation submission
  • Liaising with local immigration and tax authorities, on behalf of clients
  • Issuance and sending of bills as required
  • Organisation of tax payments and personal tax return submissions
  • Collection, organisation and administrative support in relation to tax residence certificate applications
  • Compiling any related reports as necessary

Requirements

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Previous local work experience in a similar role or exposure to the local tax regulations
  • Solutions-oriented and proactive approach to work

Education and Experience

  • A local MQF Level 5 tax certification or equivalent will be considered a strong asset
