A great opportunity has arisen for a Tax Officer to join a well-established law firm in Malta. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to form part of a supportive team of professionals who are responsible for assisting high-net worth individuals with their tax obligations:
Responsibilities:
- Preparing documentation, applying for residence, file submissions and card collections on behalf of their clients
- Assisting clients with the process of tax registration and annual obligations such as tax return preparation and compliance documentation submission
- Liaising with local immigration and tax authorities, on behalf of clients
- Issuance and sending of bills as required
- Organisation of tax payments and personal tax return submissions
- Collection, organisation and administrative support in relation to tax residence certificate applications
- Compiling any related reports as necessary
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Previous local work experience in a similar role or exposure to the local tax regulations
- Solutions-oriented and proactive approach to work
Education & Experience
A local MQF Level 5 tax certification or equivalent will be considered a strong asset
