Our client is seeking a Senior Legal Advisor to join their collaborative in-house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned legal professional who enjoys tackling complex legal matters across multiple jurisdictions.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, commercially minded, and eager to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic business environment.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal agreements involving suppliers, merchants, customers, and other third parties.
- Providing legal support to the business across a broad range of commercial and operational matters.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments, offering strategic guidance on emerging laws and regulatory trends.
- Assisting in the drafting and regular review of internal policies and procedures to ensure continued compliance with applicable laws.
- Addressing and resolving customer complaints in line with legal standards and company policy.
- Advising internal stakeholders on legal issues as they arise and working to mitigate legal risks across the business
- Delivering legal counsel on a wide range of areas including payment services, consumer protection law, data privacy, consumer credit, distance selling regulations, and employment law.
- Liaising with external counsel on matters relating to foreign jurisdictions.
- Carrying out any additional duties as required from time to time to support the legal function.
Requirements
- You are a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in both private practice and in-house roles.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- You are highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Confidence in interpreting complex legal issues and communicating them clearly to stakeholders to support business decisions.
- You thrive in high-performance environments and take a proactive approach to resolving legal challenges.
- Creative, resourceful, and eager to be involved in a wide range of legal topics and responsibilities.
