Legal Counsel (Gaming)

  Central Malta  |  €60,000 - €70,000 Annually 

Our client, operating within the Gaming industry is seeking to recruit a Legal Counsel. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Drafting and implementing operational policies, procedures, guidelines and manuals and ensure these are in line with the relevant laws 
  • Managing regulatory reporting processes whilst coordinating regulatory audits and liaising with authorities 
  • Drafting and negotiating of contract with suppliers
  • Keeping abreast on any developments with regards to laws and regulations
  • Advising on data protection and privacy matters whilst assisting the group's DPO with his responsibilities as required 
  • Providing advise to group stakeholders on mitigating legal and regulatory risks in all jurisdictions in which the companies operate in or from
  • Supporting with changes to the group's corporate structure from time to time
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders within the business 
  • Assisting with opening and closing of bank accounts
  •  Managing external legal services

Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience in a similar role
  • Possess excellent intrapersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly proficient in verbal and written English
  • Possess excellent drafting skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and meet tight deadlines

Education and Experience

  • Fully qualified and warranted lawyer
