Legal Advisor

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Legal Advisor to join a well-established Bank in Malta. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and interpretation of laws, regulations, rulings, and judgments
• Offer legal advice and liaise with other departments as necessary
• Conduct research as well as any corporate work like drafting of documentation as instructed by the Bank
• Participate in projects, proposing legal solutions, and contribute to guidelines and procedures
• Submit reports, supervise projects, and ensure compliance with policies and guidelines
• Assist in preparing the unit's business plan and budgets whilst maintaining high work standards
• To attend or give training as requested and perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Local experience in a similar position would be considered an asset
• Meticulous and a strong team player
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Maltese

Education and Experience

• In possession of law degree with a warrant to practice the profession in Malta
