Our client, a small yet dynamic international firm, is looking to onboard a Junior Associate to support the legal and licensing team; The designated person will be working closely with legal, financial and regulatory experts to support advising cutting-edge businesses, and will need to be passionate about the fast moving worlds of Fintech, Crypto and Payments:
Duties:
Assist with legal work, regulatory compliance and play a key part in helping clients obtain and maintain MFSA licences; Doing Legal Research in various areas related to Financial Services, Fintech, Crypto and Investment Services
Draft articles and reports related to MFSA publications and local & EU regulatory developments
Template, draft & review policies, filling out regulatory forms and other ancillary work related to licensing
Assist with Outsourcing & DORA compliance, including filling in forms, advising clients and vetting agreements
Work closely with partners, senior lawyers and consultants to support them deliver practical, high-quality work and solutions to clients
Assist draft or review key document such as Business Plans and policies and assist lead fintech and financial services licensing applications
Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in the field of legal / licensing / regulatory compliance in Fintech and Financial Services
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Would ideally hold an element of Regulatory experience
Education and Experience
Must be a Law Graduate or BCom Graduate (Banking & Finance)
