International Relations Advisor

  Central Malta

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an International Relations Advisor to join a well-established organisation specialising in Business and Financial sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with diplomatic representatives and foreign offices to strengthen international relationships and create opportunities for member organisations to expand globally.
  • Representing the organisation at local, EU and international forums, including industry and business networks as required.
  • Supporting business councils and working groups with research, follow-ups, and actions on international affairs, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitoring relevant markets and managing the end-to-end process of identifying interested companies, stakeholders, and international partners, including governments and trade offices.
  • Staying informed of national, EU, and global developments, conducting horizon scanning, and planning for future trends.
  • Undertaking initiatives to promote commercial and economic relationships with international partners.
  • Preparing content for diverse audiences, including briefs, background papers, and speaking notes on international affairs.
  • Assisting the communications team with planning and delivering events such as seminars, roundtables, conferences, and other stakeholder engagements, including drafting press releases and publications.
  • Collaborating across internal teams to ensure strategic alignment, coordination, and effective stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

  • Experience in policy analysis, project and stakeholder management within an international organization
  • Good communication, public speaking, presentation and writing skills
  • Business acumen, able to network and develop relationships
  • Excellent command of written and spoken Maltese and English. An additional language would be considered an asset

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, commerce, international relations, political science, international law or similar
