Our client, forming part of a group of companies, is looking for a Data Protection & Compliance Officer to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Data Protection:
- Handling and monitoring all data protection policies, privacy notices, and retention schedules
- Conducting and reviewing all data protection impact assessments
- Being the main point of contact together with the information and data protection commissioner
- Handling record of processing activities of personal data in line with GDPR
Compliance:
- Developing and reviewing compliance polices and procedures
- Ensuring that all is followed according to Maltese regulatory obligations, particularly in consumer protection, corporate governance standards and AML/CFT
- Handling risk assessments
- Providing compliance training
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years working in Data Protection locally
- Previous experience working in compliance, legal is also an asset
- Confidence working independently
Education and Experience
- Ideally holding a Degree level of education
