An established and expanding legal practice is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Lawyer to become a key member of its team. This role is ideal for a motivated advocate who thrives on courtroom work, values autonomy, and is eager to handle complex and varied litigation matters while contributing to a high-performing legal environment.
Your Role & Impact
- Represent clients before the Courts of Malta and other adjudicating bodies across all stages of civil proceedings
- Draft and review a wide range of legal documentation, including sworn applications, judicial replies, submissions, legal opinions, and advisory correspondence
- Conduct in-depth legal research, develop litigation strategies, and provide clear, practical advice to clients on their rights, obligations, and risk exposure
- Manage assigned case files independently, ensuring full compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines
- Liaise with clients, court officials, experts, and third parties throughout the litigation process
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and settlement discussions where appropriate
- Contribute to maintaining high professional standards and actively engage in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years’ hands-on experience in civil litigation before the Courts of Malta
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently and on one's own initiative.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills, paired with a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy
- A professional, reliable, and driven approach, with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and building long-term client trust
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English, allowing you to present arguments clearly and persuasively
Education and Experience
- A warrant to practice as a lawyer in Malta .
