An established and expanding legal practice is seeking a skilled Civil Litigation Lawyer to become a key member of its team. This role is ideal for a motivated advocate who thrives on courtroom work, values autonomy, and is eager to handle complex and varied litigation matters while contributing to a high-performing legal environment.
Your Role & Impact
Represent clients before the Courts of Malta and other adjudicating bodies across all stages of civil proceedings
Draft and review a wide range of legal documentation, including sworn applications, judicial replies, submissions, legal opinions, and advisory correspondence
Conduct in-depth legal research, develop litigation strategies, and provide clear, practical advice to clients on their rights, obligations, and risk exposure
Manage assigned case files independently, ensuring full compliance with procedural requirements and deadlines
Liaise with clients, court officials, experts, and third parties throughout the litigation process
Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and settlement discussions where appropriate
Contribute to maintaining high professional standards and actively engage in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
Requirements
At least 3-5 years’ hands-on experience in civil litigation before the Courts of Malta
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently and on one's own initiative.
Strong legal research and analytical skills, paired with a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy
A professional, reliable, and driven approach, with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and building long-term client trust
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English, allowing you to present arguments clearly and persuasively
Education and Experience
A warrant to practice as a lawyer in Malta .
