Our client, operating within the insurance industry, is seeking to recruit a Senior Compliance Officer. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

Responsible for the company's overall compliance function
Supporting the Head of Department in implementing and managing an appropriate Compliance Framework
Advising on local and EU laws, regulations as well as codes of practice to ensure the company is in line with the best practices and benchmarking
Implementing and monitoring of the Compliance plac
Ensuring the company's policies and procedures are kept abreast with the market and related authorities
Providing analysis and advising of any regulatory changes which may impact the company
Maintaining compliance with any applicable UK or international statutory or regulatory obligation as required by the role
Providing conduct, product oversight governance or IDD related advice
Providing related training to the rest of the team
Any other duty which may be required from time to time

Requirements

Minimum three to five years experience in a similar role within the insurance industry
Strong communication skills with the ability to work under pressure
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong knowledge of Maltese and European regulatory requirements
Meticulous with a key eye for detail
