Our client, a leading financial institution in Malta is looking for an experienced People Development Manager. You will lead the Talent Management and Succession Planning programmes, focusing on developing a future-ready workforce, design and implement strategies to identify, grow, and retain internal talent, support critical role continuity, and strengthen the internal talent pipeline. Reporting to the Lead Learning & Development Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement talent management strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Identify and nurture high-potential employees through personalised growth plans.
- Create and maintain succession plans for critical roles to ensure leadership continuity.
- Collaborate with business leaders and HR to align talent initiatives with organisational goals.
- Design and lead development programmes, including leadership training, coaching, and mentorship.
- Manage the talent review process and utilise feedback tools to assess readiness and growth.
- Track and report on key talent metrics and use HR analytics to inform strategy.
- Oversee the study grants programme and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Deliver engaging training sessions and manage relationships with external providers.
- Support budget planning for L&D and talent initiatives, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Mentor team members and coordinate with Talent Acquisition for succession and planning.
- Stay updated on L&D trends and innovations to enhance programme effectiveness.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
Requirements
- A minimum of four (4) years of proven experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, or Corporate Training in a similar industry.
- Hold an excellent level of written and verbal English.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while effectively prioritising tasks.
- Proactive and hands-on with a solutions-oriented mindset, continuously seeking process improvements.
- Confident, people-focused, and supportive, with a willingness to coach and mentor others.
- Candidates must already be based in Malta, with the legal right to work in Malta
Education and Experience
- An MQF Level 5 qualification in Learning and Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
