Payroll Officer

Our client within the Financial sector is looking for a Payroll Officer to handle a portofilio of clients 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with salary processing for different clients, ensuring correctness and compliance with regulations
• Keep employee records accurate, secure, and regularly updated across systems
• Help prepare mandatory reports, filings, and employee compensation documents
• Support submissions to authorities, including claims and statutory paperwork
• Handle client payroll queries in a clear, professional, and service-oriented way
• Offer basic administrative guidance on employment matters, escalating complex issues when needed
• Work closely with team members to deliver smooth client support services
• Contribute ideas to improve workflows, efficiency, and overall service quality

Requirements

• Communicates clearly and professionally in Maltese and English, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in a similar role - local payroll experience is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
• Comfortable working with deadlines
