Payroll Officer

  North of Malta  |  €30,000 - €35,000 Annually 

Our client who operates in the HR industry is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their team 

Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee data, contracts, leave, overtime, and benefits.
  • Calculate salaries, deductions, taxes, social security, and other statutory contributions.
  • Handle employee queries related to salaries, payslips, and deductions.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports to local authorities (e.g., tax, social security, employment reports).
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, collective agreements, and company policies.
  • Assist with end-of-year payroll reconciliations, reporting, and audits.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure alignment of employee data and financial reporting.
  • Generate and distribute payslips and other payroll-related documentation.
  • Continuously monitor and improve payroll processes for efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

  • Previous experience in payroll processing for large amount of employees
  • Knowledge of local employment law, taxation, and social security regulations.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to meet strict deadlines.
