KonnektTalexio Cyprus is extending its service portfolio to include payroll. The Payroll Lead is a foundational role - you will be the first person on the ground building the Payroll operational infrastructure from scratch, with the full backing of the KonnektTalexio Cyprus team, our established Malta payroll team and direct access to leading legal and accounting advisors.
The early months will be light on volume - this is by design. The right candidate will see that as an opportunity to build something around exceptional service delivery.
We are open to engage on a part-time or full-time basis. An initial part-time structure suits someone who wants to grow with the role as the volume builds. Full-time suits someone who, beyond the core responsibilities, wants to take an active role in Cypriot market outreach - attending events, building visibility, and supporting business development efforts on the ground.
What You'll Be Doing
Building the Foundation
- Designing the Cypriot payroll computation blueprint. Consider this as the ultimate document on how payroll is worked out in Cyprus.
- Setting up EOR services in Cyprus, including the employment contracts and a compliance checklist underpinning them.
- Working with internal technical and operational teams to define, validate, and document workflows as the service scales.
Running the Service
- Managing the Group's internal Cypriot payroll end-to-end.
- Onboarding and managing a growing portfolio of payroll clients, with full accountability for accuracy and turnaround.
- Resolving complex payroll and employment law queries independently or escalating to lawyers or accountants where needed.
Supporting Growth
- Professionally representing the service in client meetings by explaining what we do, addressing technical questions, and reinforcing confidence in the offering.
- Contributing to social media and website content as needed to support market presence.
- (Full-time candidates) Supporting Cypriot market outreach through events, networking, and building local visibility.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess 3-5 years of experience in Cypriot payroll computation, preferably as a service provider.
- Exhibit solid, demonstrable knowledge of Cypriot payroll legislation and employment law
- Hold high standards of accuracy - this is a role where errors have consequences and the person in it understands this responsibility.
- Be resourceful and self-directed, able to reach the right answer independently and autonomously, whether through research, an advisor, or escalation. -
- Comfortably be the primary person representing a service that is still being built; not unsettled by ambiguity
- Genuinely take ownership of client relationships - we expect NPS to be above 80, which reflects what happens when people care about the work, not just whether it clears a technical bar.
