Payroll & HR Clerk (Gozo)

A well-established, local Group of Companies is searching for a detail-oriented Payroll & HR Clerk to manage full-cycle payroll and provide comprehensive HR administrative support. This role is critical in ensuring accurate payroll processing and smooth HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process full-cycle payroll in a timely basis, including earnings, deductions, and allowances, amongst others
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax regulations, social security contributions, and all other statutory payroll requirements.
  • Support 360 HR functions: onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee file management.
  • Draft employment letters, track leaves and attendance, and assist with policy administration.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide administrative HR support.
  • Maintain data accuracy in HRIS and payroll systems.

Requirements

  • Candidates must already be working locally
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, maintain confidentiality, and be proactive in supporting both employees and the organization.
  • Excellent command in English; Maltese preferred

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years local experience in payroll processing and HRIS administration is a must
  • Prior local experience working within an HR function is a must
  • Strong knowledge of Labor laws, payroll tax regulations, and compliance standards is a must
  • Qualifications in HR, Business Administration, Employment Law, Payroll will be an asset.
