A well-established client of ours operating within the Hospitality industry, is searching for a Learning & Development Executive, who will be instrumental in nurturing the hotel's culture of continuous learning. This role focuses on delivering impactful training programmes, supporting career growth, and upholding the hotel’s renowned service and quality standards. It is a highly interactive position that requires strong visibility within the operation, close collaboration with teams, and a genuine passion for developing people.
Main Responsibilities
- Orientation & Onboarding: Facilitate Hilton’s Orientation programme for all new team members and oversee structured onboarding activities to ensure smooth integration into the hotel.
- Training Delivery: Plan, organise, and conduct training sessions aligned with hotel objectives, with emphasis on guest service excellence, compliance, and Hilton brand standards.
- Learning Calendar: Create, maintain, and roll out an annual training calendar that reflects business priorities and supports employee development.
- EU Funding Coordination: Manage applications for EU funding, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation for training initiatives
- Operational Support: Maintain a strong presence in operational areas, identifying training needs on the floor and coaching team members directly.

- Tracking & Reporting: Keep precise training records, monitor participation, and provide reports on learning outcomes to the Director of HR.
- HR & Culture Support: Contribute to broader HR initiatives, foster Hilton values, and champion a culture of growth and continuous learning.
Key Relationships
- Internal: HR team, Department Heads, Supervisors, Team Members.
- External: Training providers, EU/government funding bodies, Hilton Learning resources.
Requirements
- Candidates must be living & working in Malta already
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to inspire and engage diverse groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong technical skills on the use of MS applications, Canva, Powerpoint and similar applications used to design appealing training content and internal messaging
- Proactive, approachable, and hands-on, with the ability to connect with team members at all levels.
- Organised, with strong project and time management abilities.
- Fluent in English; Maltese or another European language is an asset
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in learning & development, training, or HR with a focus on L&D is a must
- Prior experience within hospitality is a huge plus
- Knowledge of EU funding processes for training is an advantage.
