Human Resources Senior Executive

  Central Malta  |  Up to €35,000 Annually 

The Senior HR Executive will serve as a key support to the HR Manager, acting as a trusted partner in the daily management of Human Resources operations. This role requires a versatile HR professional with strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive, hands-on mindset. The successful candidate will help ensure the effective delivery of HR services and provide reliable support across all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Manager in the development and execution of HR strategies, initiatives, and policies.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee documentation, and compliance activities.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, offering timely and accurate HR guidance.
  • Prepare employment contracts, correspondence, reports, and internal communications as instructed by the HR Manager.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, databases, and personnel files.
  • Assist with performance appraisal processes, training programs, and employee development initiatives.
  • Track HR metrics and contribute to the preparation of management reports and presentations.
  • Ensure adherence to labour legislation, company policies, and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate with payroll, finance, and departmental leaders to facilitate seamless HR operations.
  • Represent or assist the HR Manager in meetings and administrative responsibilities when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the HR Manager.

Requirements

  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems or HRIS is an advantage
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an HR Generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, labour laws, and best practices.
  • Experience supporting senior HR leadership.
